ANCOL AND DIAL A DOG WASH CREATE A BIG SPLASH WITH SECTOR’S FIRST EVER PET GROOMING PROMOTION
Ancol, the UK’s leading pet accessories provider, announces a major marketing promotion with the national mobile grooming service Dialadogwash. From this spring, customers buying any Ancol grooming product from its Ergo pet care range, will receive a £5 money off voucher for a Dialadogwash grooming session. At the grooming session, the customer will then receive a free ‘Ancol Grooming Tips’ booklet with grooming advice and personal pet record.
Sarah Lane, Sales and Marketing Director of Ancol comments: “There is a natural fit between our grooming products and the Dialadogwash brand, and we are delighted to have linked up for this promotion. Customers who buy our Ergo products have an active interest in grooming their pets, so the promotion will benefit them hugely.”
Andy James, Managing Director of Dialadogwash adds: “We are always pleased to offer genuine marketing incentives that support our franchisees’ businesses and this is a great opportunity. Many of our franchisees and their customers use or are familiar with Ergo grooming products, so we think they will warmly welcome this offer.”
The deal is the first of its kind in the UK pet accessories and grooming market and is set to expand market share for both brands. For Ancol, the promotion will stimulate demand for its Ergo grooming products and create a level of engagement with its customers that is new to the sector.
For Dialadogwash, the £5 discount promotion is a genuine value offer to its customers, as the average cost of a grooming session is between £25 and £40. The Ancol/Dialadogwash Grooming Tips brochure not only contains valuable, well-presented advice on keeping pets well groomed between sessions, it also becomes a personal record of the dog’s features such as breed, coat type, collar and harness size, bed size and grooming history.
The scheme will be rolled out nationwide to all independent pet stores across the UK. Dial a Dog wash franchisees will accept the £5 discount vouchers from 01 March 2010.
